Nothing official so far from WEBSTER PUBLIC RELATIONS, but the TENNESSEAN is reporting that the company has shuttered its operation, citing a notification on the company’s website that reads, “As of [WEDNESDAY], NOVEMBER 1st, 2017, WEBSTER PUBLIC RELATIONS is no longer in business.”

That development follows a FOX NEWS report today (11/1) that WEBSTER PUBLIC RELATIONS had formally responded to allegations that WEBSTER PR founder KIRT WEBSTER acted inappropriately toward a former client. AUSTIN C. RICK, an aspiring artist, recently opened a GOFUNDME page to raise legal fees in advance of an expected civil case involving WEBSTER. On the page, RICK alleges that beginning in 2008, WEBSTER “did terrible, terrible things to me.” RICK went on to detail publicity opportunities arranged by WEBSTER “in exchange for sexual acts.” The story was also reported on TUESDAY (10/31) by NASHVILLE-based THE NASHVILLE SCENE.

The statement from WEBSTER PR, which was also sent to ALL ACCESS, says that all of KIRT WEBSTER’s relationships during the course of his professional life “have been consensual,” and, while acknowledging one with RICK, described it as “brief.” The statement continued: “It saddens Mr. WEBSTER that nine years later, after Mr. RICK’s music career has been stagnant, Mr. RICK has taken the opportunistic approach of mischaracterizing that relationship and posting untrue allegations.”

WEBSTER’s client base included DOLLY PARTON, KENNY ROGERS, CHARLIE DANIELS, and KID ROCK, among others.
