HUNTSMAN ENTERTAINMENT President RON HUNTSMAN has announced that the company, which was founded in 1988, has ceased operations. The decision comes after 52 years in the radio, records, artist promotion, and development businesses, 47 of which HUNTSMAN has lived in NASHVILLE. The final episode of HUNTSMAN’s weekly syndicated “COUNTRY HITMAKERS” radio show aired SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1st. Additionally, the syndicated radio special “CHRISTMAS ON MUSIC ROW,” now in its 26th year, will offer its final edition this DECEMBER.

HUNTSMAN and his wife, VIVIAN, founded HUNTSMAN ENTERTAINMENT in 1988; “COUNTRY HITMAKERS” debuted in APRIL 1994. He has also overseen production of over 160 album and product release radio special for NASHVILLE-based record labels over the past 29 years. To date, HUNTSMAN has also produced over 100 story songs and patient vignettes for ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL. HUNTSMAN was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2011. “The payoff of this whole crazy run has been to a great degree getting to meet and work with people I admire for their talent or for their personality, whether it was someone in the industry, at a radio station, or an artist,” said HUNTSMAN.
