Nielsen: AC Enjoyed A Record Setting December, Holiday PPMs

AC Time Of Year

The release of NIELSEN’s holiday book PPM ratings found that the AC format set a new all-time high for audience share in during the holiday season. Because AC stations are more likely to flip to the “all-CHRISTMAS” music format than other formats, AC set all-time records in highest audience share in both the DECEMBER (10.5%) and  HOLIDAY (13.9%) surveys. 

In both months, AC was the top-ranked format, jumping ahead of News/Talk, usually the #1 format during the rest of the year.
