First 2017 CMA Awards Performers Announced

Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks and Luke Bryan are among the first announced performers for the 2017 CMA Awards. An early list of 12 CMA performers includes four of the five country singers up for the Entertainer of the Year award.

Only EOTY nominee Keith Urban is missing from the early list of performers, although many, many more will be added between now and the Nov. 8 telecast.

No Doubt About It, These Singers Were Snubbed!

Several Single of the Year and Song of the Year nominees will perform, as most usually do. This list includes Little Big Town (“Better Man”), Jon Pardi (“Dirt on My Boots”) and Miranda Lambert (“Tin Man”). Brothers Osborne, Eric Church, Old Dominion and Thomas Rhett are four more CMA Awards performers in 2017.

A special performance from Alan Jackson is looking to be a possible highlight. Jackson will have been just inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and he’ll be performing at the awards show for the 24th time in his career. The legend is second in terms of all-time nominations, with 81 since 1990.
