COLD RIVER RECORDS (CRR) President PETE O’HEERON TODAY (10/23) responded to a FOX NEWS online report quoting former CRR artist KATIE ARMIGER’s claim that she was blacklisted from Country music after her allegations of sexual harassment during her time with the label. In the piece, ARMIGER recounted stories of inappropriate behavior from radio personnel during promotional tours, describing her reaction as “shocked” and “terrified.” ARMIGER is also quoted in the article, saying, “I brought up my fears, and I was told that’s how it was, and if I wanted to be in music, I’d have to get over it.” ARMIGER and COLD RIVER traded lawsuits last year, leading to her eventual departure from the label (NET NEWS 6/16/16).

On his FACEBOOK page this afternoon, O’HEERON stated, “The behavior that KATIE ARMIGER alleges in the FOXNEWS.com article is unacceptable, and COLD RIVER RECORDS strongly condemns sexual harassment of anyone. Also, to be clear, COLD RIVER RECORDS has never heard KATIE complain of the inappropriate physical contact from anyone at radio as she alleges in the article, nor do we have any desire to see her ‘blacklisted’ from the music industry. We hope KATIE will focus on restarting her career by sharing new music and videos with her fans, which we know they’ve been waiting for. We are rooting for KATIE, and wish her the best of luck in restarting her career. COLD RIVER is always available if she chooses to seek out career guidance and advice.”
