Luke Bryan and Alabama highlight the new country Christmas music releases in 2017, but songs featuring Blake Shelton and Shania Twain make pretty good stocking stuffers, too.
Alabama’s new Christmas album is one of very few full-length albums being released this year, although an EP from Dylan Scott will sound just fine as you decorate. Instead country music’s biggest stars chose to do samples, with Bryan, Brett Young and Kelleigh Bannen three who chose “O Holy Night” and Willie Nelson teaming with Lee Ann Womack for “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.”
Elsewhere find Kellie Pickler and Phil Vassar joining forces for “The Naughty List.” That’s sure to be part of their Christmas tour, and they won’t be alone on the road. While this year is the first year Kenny Rogers isn’t touring, Martina McBride is picking up the slack with a Christmas Tour of her own. Home Free are touring too, and Brett Eldredge has a smattering of holiday dates planned for 2017!
