Shortly after ENTERCOM named format captains in the newly-merged company with CBS RADIO yesterday (NET NEWS 11/13), a release which tapped KWJJ/PORTLAND MIKE MOORE retaining that role for Country, CBS RADIO EVP/Programming CHRIS OLIVIERO had strong praise for longtime WYCD/DETROIT PD TIM ROBERTS, who had doubled as CBS RADIO VP/Country since FEBRUARY (NET NEWS 2/23).
“I just wanted to follow-up specifically with the Country PD group to thank TIM ROBERTS for his outstanding leadership as our Country Vice President at CBS RADIO,” said OLIVIERO. “As I said when we named TIM to this position, there is no one in my mind who understands the audience, the artists, and labels of NASHVILLE today quite like TIM.” ROBERTS will continue as VP/Music Programming for the DETROIT cluster, with day-to-day programming of Country WYCD; reach ROBERTS here. Meanwhile, OLIVIERO is retaining his title and position from CBS RADIO in the newly-merged company.
