Big D: KWNR PD
iHEARTMEDIA Country KWNR (95.5 THE BULL)/LAS VEGAS MD/afternoon-driver WAYNE “BIG D” DANIELSON has been upped to PD, effective immediately. He’ll report to iHEARTMEDIA RSVP/CENTRAL CALIFORNIA-NEVADA TONY MATTEO, and succeeds DAVID DEAN, who left the station in DECEMBER.
“BIG D has been a part of the fabric of the BULL brand in [LAS] VEGAS in many roles over the years, and we’re excited that he’ll now be leading the station as PD,” said MATTEO. “No one knows this station, this city and this audience better than BIG D.”
BIG D joined KWNR in 2016 from Top 40 clustermate KPLV, where he served as APD/mornings (NET NEWS 8/23/16). Other resume stops include KDWB/MINNEAPOLIS, WZEE/MADISON, KAJA/SAN ANTONIO, and WQEN/BIRMINGHAM. He also previously handled nights on KWNR. “I’ve been blessed in my career, and that continues for me as I move into this new role,” said BIG D. “I’ve been very lucky to be surrounded by some of the most talented people in this business, and I’ve tried to take a piece of their knowledge with me on my journey.
