Trout Steak Revival have a new album in the works, and they’re ready to share one of its tracks with The Boot’s readers. Press play above to hear “Fall at Your Feet,” and see a music video for the song.
“Fall at Your Feet,” the band tells The Boot, “tells the story of love and commitment through an ever-changing world.” Guitarist and mandolin player Steve Foltz sings the song; it’s one of two that he penned with his wife.
“The song blends soulful lyrics and uptempo instrumentation,” Trout Steak Revival note, adding that the song is indicative of their upcoming album as a whole. The song’s accompanying video was shot at the base of the mountains near Buena Vista, Colo.
Made up of Foltz, banjo player Travis McNamara, dobro player and guitarist Will Koster, stand-up bassist Casey Houlihan and fiddle player Bevin Foley, Trout Steak Revival were named the 2014 winner of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition. In 2016, they were nominated for a Momentum Award at the IBMA Awards, and have an Emmy for contributing to a PBS web documentary’s soundtrack.
“Fall at Your Feet” will appear on Trout Steak Revival’s upcoming new album, Spirit to the Sea. The band has a Kickstarter campaign underway to help fund the project. Fans can also visit TroutSteak.com to learn more about the band and their music.
