For better or worse (generally better, but occasionally worse), Kid Rock is a memorable guy. The country-rock rapper, born Robert Ritchie, got his start as a rapper in the 1990s, moving in the years since from straight-up rap to rap-rock, then from there to a sound that incorporates Southern rock and country as well.
Rock released his first country album in 2001; fans likely remember the project, Cocky, for its collaboration with Sheryl Crow, “Picture,” which earned both artists their very first CMA Awards nomination. This clip features five additional unforgettable “remember when?”s from throughout Rock’s time in country music. Some are sweet, some are … uh, not so much … and readers can press play to watch them all.
