Thomas Rhett will take his new music on the road in the new year. The rising star has announced plans for a 2018 tour, the Life Changes Tour, with dates spanning a six-month stretch, April to October. Joining Rhett will be some of the genre’s most promising baby acts: ToC RISERS star Brett Young will open the full Life Changes Tour, while Midland, Carly Pearce, Jillian Jacqueline and Russell Dickerson will open select dates.
“Headlining for the first time has been pretty unreal. It’s wild to me that next year we will be launching our second year of headline shows and are bringing out some of my favorite artists in music right now,” Rhett says about the tour in a press release. “I think the fans have come to expect that we’re going to be on our feet and having the time of our lives every single night.”
Life Changes is Rhett’s new album and details exactly what it claims to — the singer’s young marriage to the woman he’s known his whole life, their adoption of a toddler and birth of a baby girl. Released in September of 2017, Life Changes made Rhett the first country artist to debut atop the Billboard 200 all-genre chart in 2017. His most recent single, “Unforgettable,” is currently in the top 5 on both the Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. It follows the album’s lead single, “Craving You,” featuring Maren Morris that reached the No. 1 spot earlier in 2017.
