It’s been a bit of a wait for Sugarland fans, but the dynamic duo of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush are finally returning with a new single, “Still the Same,” due out Dec. 21.
“We said new music before the end of the year, and we meant it!” noted the pair’s post on Sugarland’s Instagram account Friday (Dec. 8).
The pair additionally noted on social media that they’d be performing New Year’s Eve in NYC on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.
Nettles and Bush broke the news that they’d be reuniting for a tour last month, during an appearance on Bobby Bones’ radio show. That spot marked their first joint interview since they revealed their reunion plans in November.
The duo went on hiatus in 2013, just two years after a tragic stage collapse before their scheduled set at the Indiana State Fair killed seven people. They have both pursued solo careers, but the hopes of an eventual Sugarland reunion has always been on fans’ minds. Looks like this will make for a fantastic Christmas gift for everyone who ever wanted to hear more from the duo!
Sugarland made their first live public appearance together in years at the 2017 CMA Awards on Nov. 8, presenting the Vocal Duo of the Year award.
