Congratulations to MERCURY NASHVILLE’s SHANIA TWAIN and her team, on a #1 album debut for “Now,” her first studio release in nearly 15 years and fifth of her career. With 137,000 equivalent album units – 134,000 in traditional album sales – TWAIN tops both the all-genre and Country album charts, according to NIELSEN MUSIC. In addition to her sales milestone, TWAIN’s first-week sales figure is the largest for a female artist in almost two years, the first #1 Country debut by a female in over three years, and the third-largest overall one-week Country sales total in 2017. TWAIN’s last studio album was 2002’s “Up!” which was her first all-genre #1 album debut.
