Scotty McCreery walked the 2017 CMA Awards red carpet with his fiancé Gabi Dugal on Wednesday night (Nov. 8). It was the couple’s first awards appearance since becoming engaged in September.
McCreery looked sophisticated in a classic black suit and tie, letting his new fiancé shine in a stunning floor-length red gown. But what truly stole the spotlight was the couples’ huge smiles as they strutted down the red carpet hand-in-hand. It was clear that all the excitement of the red carpet didn’t hold a candle to their excitement at being soon-to-be newlyweds. McCreery and Dugal have known each other since kindergarten and began dating their senior year of high school.
In May, McCreery independently released his latest single, Five More Minutes.” The song rose to to No. 40 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, and at No. 46 on the Country Aircheck / Mediabase chart, making it the first song released by an artist without a record label to chart in the latter chart’s Top 50.
