ROBERTFEDER.COM is reporting that CHICAGO radio management veteran JIMMY DE CASTRO will be serving as SVP and Market Manager of the cluster about to be taken over by ENTERCOM from CBS RADIO in CHICAGO, replacing CBS incumbent TIM POHLMAN.
DE CASTRO, who left crosstown TRIBUNE News-Talk WGN-A last FALL to start a sports management and marketing firm, AFTER THE WHISTLE LLC, will oversee News simulcast WBBM-A-WCFS, Sports WSCR-A (670 THE SCORE), Triple A WXRT, Classic Hits WJMK (K-HITS 104.3), Top 40 WBBM-F (B96), and Country WUSN (US99). AFTER THE WHISTLE will continue as well, but while DE CASTRO will not serve in an active management role there, the company will serve as ENTERCOM CHICAGO’s digital media agency.
