It’s no easy feat to top best dressed lists as often as Nicole Kidman does (it’s no wonder she was crowned Most Stylish Star of 2017 by PeopleStyle). But it’s especially impressive when you consider the fact that she has double the red carpets to attend than her movie star peers, thanks to her marriage to country music superstar Keith Urban.
And she often has the most fashion fun on his music awards red carpets, which was true Sunday at the 2017 American Music Awards. Kidman followed her fearless, boundary-pushing ways in a black velvet tank dress with an asymmetrical hem, plus lace-up over-the-knee boots.

She’s on-hand to support her husband, who was nominated for (and won!) Favorite Male Artist – Country, Favorite Album – Country for Ripcord and Favorite Song- Country for “Blue Ain’t Your Color.” Said Kidman on the red carpet, “I love watching him perform, I love it … I see him do it a lot but it never loses its power.”

For his big night, Urban chose a sheer black tee cut almost as low as his wife’s dress, plus a black blazer, leather pants and boots.
While we cross our fingers that Kidman will reprise her dance moves from past award shows (watch her get down during The Doobie Brothers’ performance here), you can expect some huge performances from an all-star lineup.
Pink, Christina Aguilera and Selena Gomez are all set to take the stage. And Gomez’s performance will mark her first since undergoing surgery for a kidney transplant.
