Dylan Scott and his wife Blair welcomed their first baby, a son named Beckett Scott Robinson, on Tuesday (Dec. 12), as reported by People.
The little boy was born in Nashville, and weighed in at 8 lbs. and measured 21 inches long. His middle name is actually his father’s middle name (as well as his grandfather’s, too).
“Blair and I are so excited that our son, Beckett, arrived at 5:20 p.m. today,” the singer told People. “He is a healthy, beautiful baby and we are blessed that everything went well. And Blair is doing great!”
The couple, who were high-school sweethearts and married in 2016, announced they were expecting in June and had a fun gender reveal involving showers of blue confetti in July. Athough their parenting experience together to date has been limited to furbabies (pups Brodie and Bella), Scott, 27, told People his wife is a natural with the small fry.
“My wife is so good with kids,” he said. “I’ve watched her for a long time now and she’s really good. In that aspect, I’ve got her to show me everything I need to know.”
The rising star has been on the road with Justin Moore on his Hell on a Highway Tour that continues through April of 2018. Scott scored his first No. 1 single with “My Girl” in 2017.
