ALL ACCESS extends condolences to family, friends, and former colleagues of longtime GRAND OLE OPRY musician GEORGE MCCORMICK, who passed away MONDAY, FEBRUARY 5th. He was 84.
MCCORMICK spent 47 years at the OPRY, where he played guitar and bass and sang with artists including GRANDPA JONES, DOLLY PARTON, JIM REEVES, and PORTER WAGONER; he retired from the OPRY in 1998. Visitation is scheduled for today (2/8) from 5p until 8p (CT) and tomorrow (2/9) from 11a until 1p (CT) at the BAXTER CHAPEL of HOOPER-HUDDLESTON & HORNER FUNERAL HOME, 203 S. Holly Street, MONTEREY, TN 38574. Funeral services will follow visitation hours on FRIDAY, and an interment will be held in CREST LAWN CEMETERY, 800 W. Jackson Street, COOKEVILLE, TN 38501.
