Little Big Town are among the first artists announced as performers for the 2018 Grammy Awards. The country quartet will take the stage on Music’s Biggest Night, along with numerous other acts.
The Recording Academy announced Little Big Town’s 2018 Grammy Awards performance on Thursday (Jan. 4); at the same time, the organization revealed that Childish Gambino, Lady Gaga, Pink, Patti LuPone and Ben Platt will also be performing at this year’s awards show. LBT, Gambino, Gaga and Pink are all Grammy Awards nominees this year; LuPone will be reprising her performance of “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” from the 1981 Grammy Awards, while Platt — who stars in the Broadway play Dear Evan Hansen — will sing a song from West Side Story as a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Leonard Bernstein.
At the 2018 Grammy Awards, Little Big Town are nominated for Best Country Album, for their 2017 release The Breaker, and for Best Country Duo / Group Performance, for their song “Better Man.” “Better Man” is also nominated for Best Country Song; if it wins, the trophy will go to the song’s writer, Taylor Swift.
The 60th annual Grammy Awards will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Jan. 28. The televised ceremony will begin at 7:30PM ET on CBS; the pre-telecast Premiere Ceremony will be available to stream online earlier in the evening.
