Nominees for the “2017 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS” were announced today (10/12), with CAPITOL NASHVILLE’s KEITH URBAN leading Country categories, grabbing nods for Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album (“Ripcord”), and Favorite Song (“Blue Ain’t Your Color”). MCA’s SAM HUNT had two nominations; Favorite Song (“Body Like A Backroad”), and Favorite Male Artist.
PEAR RECORDS’ GARTH BROOKS is a nominee in the overall Tour of the Year category, vying for that honor with COLDPLAY and U2. The “2017 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS” will be handed out on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 19th at the MICROSOFT THEATRE in LOS ANGELES, and broadcast live on ABC-TV beginning at 8p (ET).
