When Keith Urban played a free surprise show at the Exit/In club in Nashville Wednesday (Jan. 17) as part of a Facebook Live event, he delighted the packed room with more than just an unexpectedly fun way to spend a Hump Day evening. The singer took the opportunity to unveil big plans for 2018: A tour and a new album, both dubbed Graffiti U.
Urban’s tour will kick off June 15 in St. Louis, Mo., and span 58 shows in the U.S. and Canada through November. He’ll be joined by opener Kelsea Ballerini, who was also on hand at the Exit/In to perform a cover with him of Camila Cabello’s “Never Be the Same.”
Urban didn’t give a date for his new album—which will mark his 10th solo studio release—but told the crowd that he’s close to finishing it. As proof, he offered up some new songs titled “Steal My Thunder,” “Same Heart” and “Texas Time.”
Urban’s most recent single, “Female,” was released in early November. It’s not confirmed if the song will be included on Graffiti U.
