Trent Harmon has dropped a brand new single “You Got ’em All,” a song he says is inspired by his longtime girlfriend. Readers can press play below to listen to the sweeping, romantic tune. The sentimental lyrics tell a story of once-in-a-lifetime love that got away.
“Cause I’m still waitin’ on life to begin again / Still waitin’ on love to give a second chance / To stop me and steal my breath the way you did / I’m still lookin’ for your Jeep in every parking lot / Still taste your lips with every whiskey shot / I hope you found whatever I ain’t found yet / ‘Cause I feel like all my better days are gone / And I think you got ‘em all.”
The singer performed the new song live at the Big Machine Label Group Luncheon during Country Radio Seminar, where he received a standing ovation for the break-up ballad. Harmon co-wrote the song with Justin Ebach and Jordan Minton. Ebach, who also wrote Brett Young‘s No. 1 “Sleep Without You,” was named Songwriter of the Year in 2017 at the SESAC Nashville Music Awards.
“This past year has been tough,” Harmon said during his performance. “I have had a few highs and many lows. The reaction to this song has made it all worth it, and I am so excited to get out there and share it with fans.”
“You Got ‘Em All” is available for download now and impacts radio of Mar. 19. Harmon won the final season of American Idol, Season 15, in 2016, and released his debut single, “There’s a Girl,” in June of 2017.
