Jason Aldean will be releasing a new album this spring, but fans don’t have to wait until then to hear one of its tracks. On Friday (Jan. 26), Aldean revealed “You Make It Easy,” a brand-new single; readers can press play above to watch its lyric video.
A blues-tinged love song, “You Make It Easy” has Aldean professing how that special someone — in this case, no doubt, his wife, Brittany Kerr — is “my sunshine in the darkest days / My better half, my saving grace.” In the first verse, Aldean sings, “I see forever when I see your face / And I swear God made you for me.”
“You took off my rough around the edges / Never let it ruffle up your feathers, angel,” goes the second verse of “You Make It Easy.” “Yeah, I’m down for life / You got me wrapped around your finger / And I like it just in case you can’t tell.”
Aldean and Kerr have been married since March of 2015. In December, they welcomed their first child together, a boy named Memphis. Aldean also has two daughters, Keely and Kendall, from his previous marriage.
In August, Aldean shared with fans that he was back in the studio, working on new music. Aldean’s next album, Rearview Town, will be his eighth studio record and is due out on April 13. It will follow his most recent release, They Don’t Know, which came out in September of 2016.
This summer, Aldean will be on the road for his 2018 High Noon Neon Tour. The trek takes its name from another song that will be on his next album.
