Deep in the heart of Texas … George Strait’s San Antonio home is for sale. Strait custom built the 7,925-square-foot adobe house, located in San Antonio’s exclusive Dominion area.
The San Antonio News-Express reports that the home is being sold by realtor Tamara Strait, who is married to Strait’s son Bubba. Although Tamara Strait wouldn’t confirm to the News-Express that the house belongs to the King of Country, George Strait is listed as the owner on tax and property records up until 2007; after 2007, the property was transferred to Southbound Trust, of which Strait and his wife Norma are co-trustees.
Real estate website StraitLuxury.com reports that the San Antonio home contains three bedrooms, all with their own fireplaces, four full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. Adding to grandeur of the house, there is also an infinity pool and spa, a sports court and a workout room with a private bathroom and sauna, and a walk-in safe room. Additional amenities include a gourmet kitchen, an expansive outdoor kitchen and 14 hand-sculpted masonry fireplaces.
A separate guest house features one bed, one bath, living space and another fireplace. According to the listing, the home sits on 12.2 private, gated acres and was designed by world-renowned artist Bill Tull.
