The “60TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS” will bring together 2018 GRAMMY nominees, EMI NASHVILLE’s BROTHERS OSBORNE and COLUMBIA NASHVILLE’s MAREN MORRIS (NET NEWS 11/28/17), with past GRAMMY nominee, EMI NASHVILLE’s ERIC CHURCH, for a special segment paying tribute to victims of concert tragedies, including the ROUTE 91 HARVEST FESTIVAL shooting in LAS VEGAS last OCTOBER. BROTHERS OSBORNE, MORRIS, and CHURCH were all performers during the FESTIVAL, which culminated with a mass shooting that left 58 people dead and over 500 injured (NET NEWS 10/2/17).
“Live music events have always provided a safe space for fans to gather in a shared celebration of music,” said THE RECORDING ACADEMY Pres./CEO NEIL PORTNOW. “Sadly, that wasn’t always the case this past year. We believe it’s incredibly important to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in these senseless tragedies and to remind musicians and music lovers alike that live music will continue to be a powerful force that unites us all.” The “60TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS” are set for SUNDAY, JANUARY 28th at NEW YORK’s MADISON SQUARE GARDEN and will be broadcast on CBS-TV.
