Danielle Bradbery Isn’t Going to Get Too Crazy on New Year’s Eve

Though 2017 marks the year Danielle Bradbery can legally drink, the singer’s plans for New Year’s are pretty low key.

The “Worth It” turned 21 on July 23 and tells her label, Big Machine Label Group, that while fireworks and a cocktail or two will likely be a part of her New Year’s celebration, she doesn’t plan on getting too wild–she wants to ensure that she has a level head the following day.

“New Year’s, every year, you’re like, ‘Okay what do we do?,'” she notes. “I love fireworks so that’s something that I’m definitely gonna be doing. And now that I’m 21, I’ll probably go out and have some drinks or something. [But] I don’t want to get too crazy because I don’t want to feel too bad the next morning.”

Bradbery recently celebrated the release of her sophomore album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, which debuted inside the top 10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. The young star co-wrote several of the album’s tracks, including “What Are We Doing” which she penned alongside Thomas Rhett, Emily Weisband and Sam Ellis.

“Being in the room with him and just being around him I learn a lot,” Bradbery says about Rhett. “Because he is very ‘this is what I want with my music, this is what I like so that’s what I’m going to do’ and you see it in him. He’s a great person and then he’s just a great artist and entertainer, so I give a lot of credit to him. He’s awesome.”
