According to People, Graydon was born at 10:18PM, weighing 6 lbs., 4 oz. and measuring 19 inches long. His name honors Boyd’s great-grandfather. He joins sister Dakota Lynne, who turns 2 on Sunday (Dec. 31), and 5-year-old son Jaxon, Boyd’s son from a previous relationship.
“Tay, Jax, Kota and I are proud to announce that last night, Graydon Scott was welcomed into our home and hearts,” Boyd says. “The last week of December will forever be a huge week in the Boyd family … #BoydsRus.” The singer and Season 7 winner of The Voice turns 39 on Sunday.
So Many Babies in 2017!
Boyd and Taylor announced her pregnancy in July. They shared a picture via People in which the couple and their kids pose with a sign that says, “We will soon be #outnumbered #babyboyd,” with Jaxon holding a rope tied to his parents and Dakota sitting on her dad’s shoulders. “IT’S A BOY!” is written on the window in blue.
Boyd hit No.1 with “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face” after winning The Voice in 2014, but he ran into label troubles afterward and split from Universal Republic and Dot Records. He signed a new deal with Copperline Music in March of 2017 in a partnership with Reviver Entertainment Group and BDG/RED, and released his latest record, Top Shelf, on Oct. 27.
