A two-story mansion awash in country music pedigree and located half an hour outside Music City, U.S.A., has changed hands.
Singer-songwriter Jake Owen has sold his two-story spread in Tennessee’s Cheatham County for $1.31 million. He bought the property from the daughter of country music icon Loretta Lynn roughly six years ago for $625,000, public records show.
Features of the custom-built property include a recording studio and a Tiki bar, which sits out back and offers a closer feel for the wooded scenery that surrounds the seven-plus-acre estate.
A vaulted and wood-beamed ceiling tops the living room, which has a sliding barn door that leads to the kitchen. The family room spans two floors and has an indoor balcony. A dining room, gym and elevator also lie within about 5,000 square feet of living space.
There are master suites on both floors, for a total of four bedrooms.
Glass doors off the lower level open to a cozy patio complete with a fireplace.
Cheryl Ewing of Fridrich & Clark Realty was the listing agent. Pamela Francis of Kingston Realty & Development represented the buyer.
Owen, 36, has recorded a bevy of hits since signing to RCA Nashville in 2006, including “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Anywhere With You” and “American Country Love Song.” In 2012, he was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year by the American Country Awards.
