Following initial rumor earlier this week (NET NEWS 9/25), CAPITOL NASHVILLE’s LUKE BRYAN has been confirmed as a judge for ABC-TV’s “AMERICAN Idol.” BRYAN will join previously-announced judge KATY PERRY, and rounding out the panel will be LIONEL RITCHIE. Longtime “Idol” judge RYAN SEACREST will return to host the series; the full judges panel will make their debut on ABC-TV’s “Good Morning AMERICA” on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 4th.
“I’m excited at the chance to help some deserving artists reach their dreams,” said BRYAN. “To be in a position in my career to help facilitate this along with other judges is just a complete honor. It’s gonna be a blast!” The show is slated to premiere in early MARCH.
