October has definitely been a spook-tacular month for Chris Young, who racked up a few career milestones prior to Halloween. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on Oct. 17, released his seventh album, Losing Sleep, three days later — and this week discovered that the record landed the top spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart.
Losing Sleep is Chris Young’s seventh album and second consecutive studio album to debut at No. 1 on the country albums chart. It also sold well enough to land at No. 5 on the all-genre Billboard 200 — he’s cracked the top five on that chart four times to date.
Young noted in a statement that this album is particularly important to him, because “this is the first record where I co-wrote every song,” he explained. “It’s been amazing to have such a great response to the new music, and I’m looking forward to playing it live on tour starting in January.”
The record follows 2015’s I’m Comin’ Over album, which amassed three No. 1 hits, including a duet with Cassadee Pope and another with Vince Gill. Young is gearing up for his 2018 world tour with special guests Kane Brown and LANCO, and will be playing a few select dates before the end of the year. You can keep up with his schedule here.
