When I think of Carrie Underwood, I always think of someone who is almost too graceful to be natural. She’s always so put together and poised and, well, pretty damn perfect. Oh sure, she gets goofy on Instagram, but even then she’s pretty much perfection. Over the weekend, however, the world learned that the singer is, in fact, human when it was revealed that she had fallen on some stairs at her home on Friday evening and broken her wrist.
Been there, done that (the falling on stairs part, not the wrist breaking part).
Carrie was taken to the hospital for her injuries, which also included cuts and abrasions. On Sunday, she thanked fans for their well wishes, writing on Twitter: Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody…I’ll be alright…might just take some time…glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me.

This morning, Carrie updated fans on her recovery, revealing that she ended up having surgery on her wrist on Tuesday.
I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well…even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on…I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me.

Well that sucks, although I do admit that setting off metal detectors with the metal embedded in your body does sound like a fun, almost super-hero-like trick.
Happy to hear Carrie’s on the mend.
