Brad Paisley continues to build on his personal brand of love songs with “My Miracle,” his new single.
Much like the loving odes that came before — “Then,” “Little Moments” and “She’s Everything to Me” — Paisley honors his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley by acknowledging her impact on his life. The ballad-esuqe song pairs Paisley’s apt guitar skills with heartfelt lyrics that credit her for growing his faith and maintaining his light.
“I can be a little ornery when it comes to writing love songs. I don’t typically put it all out there, but in this one I did. This is the most powerful statement I think I can make. The one I wrote it for (wife of 16 years Kimberly Williams-Paisley), she is my worst critic typically, but in this case I think I got it right,” he says.
Paisley doesn’t stray from the norm on “My Miracle,” as country enthusiasts will appreciate its traditional melody, while longtime fans of Paisley’s will respect how he sticks to his roots. He expands his original style of penning love ballads with “My Miracle,” tying in specific qualities of his wife in a way that consistently gives his songs a unique touch.
