Willie Nelson Cancels February Tour Dates

On the heels of his abrupt and unfortunate termination of a show in January due to illness, Willie Nelson has cancelled all of his scheduled February tour dates.

Back last month, Nelson’s camp explained he was experiencing a “bad cold or flu,” and they now confirm the 84-year-old singer “requires a few extra weeks to recover completely from the flu.”

They further assure fans that Nelson is okay, just in need of a little time to get back up to speed: “He is up and about and looks as healthy as ever but his doctor has determined that his voice needs more time to recuperate to give the performances you all love seeing,” read the statement.

Nelson himself added, “I will see you all down the road.”  He plans to resume his tour in early March.

Similar symptoms have plagued Nelson in recent years. While he continues to travel and tour, he’s become more susceptible to breathing issues as he has gotten older.

Listed below are the dates that are cancelled or postponed:

Feb. 7 –  Macon, GA  Macon Centreplex Coliseum

Feb. 9 – Biloxi, MS  IP Casino Resort & Hotel

Feb. 10 – Panama City, FL  The Marina Civic Center
