Sugarland Reunite to Present Brothers Osborne With Vocal Duo of the Year at CMAs

Hot off their energetic performance of “It Ain’t My Fault,” Brothers Osborne picked up a win for Vocal Duo of the Year at the 2017 CMA Awards.

Sugarland reunited for the first time in years to present the award, a designation they earned for five consecutive years from 2007-2011. “Funny seeing you here,” Jennifer Nettles joked to Kristian Bush before announcing the winner.

This marks Brothers Osborne’s second win in the category, and they received resounding approval from the crowd, hugging Luke Bryan and Lauren Alaina as they made their way to the stage to collect their award.

“This is incredible,” T.J. Osborne said humbly, holding the trophy during a speech that was short and sweet. It was a true family affair for the Osbornes, who announced that they brought their siblings with them. T.J. explained how they often get asked what it’s like to win a CMA Award, joking that they’ve made more money from the accolade. But he spoke honestly about the award’s sentiment, saying, “It really opened my eyes to what mattered most and what I had all along,” referring to their family and friends.

The brothers beat out Dan + ShayFlorida Georgia LineLoCash and Maddie & Tae for the win. They scored another win in the category of Music Video of the Year, which was announced before the awards broadcast, beating out Keith Urban, Maren MorrisLittle Big Town and Miranda Lambert.
