Reba McEntire’s Shoe Collection Includes 85 Pairs of Boots (Seriously)

Like any good country woman, Reba McEntire loves boots. Heck, she recently launched her own collection of Western boots for Justin Footwear! It’s no huge surprise that the superstar has her fair share of kicks, but would you believe she owns 85 pairs of boots?

McEntire let People Magazine into her home to check out her new, custom storage closet full of boots.

“I wanted a variety of boots that I could wear on stage,” she explains. “Then I wanted a pair of boots for the girls to run barrels in. Then I wanted some sneakers for when they get through loading their horse up in the trailer, take their boots off, get their tennis shoes on and drive home.” McEntire opted for her personal favorites when collaborating with Justin for her line, but she hopes everyone else likes the footwear collection, too.

And sure, she’s got lots of boots now, but it wasn’t too long ago that she was duct-taping her boots together because they were falling apart, and she hasn’t forgotten. “I had one pair of boots I ran barrels in, I remember … I had duct tape around to keep the sole together,” she says. “I think I won third that night and the next day I went down to the Western store and bought a new pair of boots and some clip-on stirs. That’s the first pair of boots I bought.”

The singer’s favorite pair of boots are some she designed with her granddaughter in mind, and she borrowed her name. According to the redheaded country star the Chelsea Boot is “a real comfortable, classy boot.”

“I wear them on television and onstage in Vegas. When I’m not comfortable I don’t have the confidence I need, and if I’m unsure of my footing the first thing that goes is your confidence,” she adds.

But that’s not all: McEntire’s closet includes 100 pair of jeans in a variety of colors. “My weight fluctuates 5-10 pounds throughout the year,” she says. “You have your heavy jeans, you have your skinny jeans …”
