Our Favorite Miranda Lambert Hairstyles [PICTURES]

Some stars stick to one look: George Strait rarely is seen without his black cowboy hat; Garth Brooks loves his crazy button-up shirts; and Trisha Yearwood‘s hair has been blonde and wavy for pretty much forever. But on the other side of the spectrum, there are the country artists who like to change it up … sometimes way up. Miranda Lambert is one of them, especially when it comes to her hair.

The “Mama’s Broken Heart” hitmaker isn’t afraid to be a little daring. Though she recently had it chopped and dyed platinum (in solidarity with her No. 1 album, of course), her hair’s seen all kinds of changes over the years. Girl rocks a ponytail like no one else, and she even pulls off a fishtail braid with sass and style.

Lambert’s been known to sport beachy waves, 1920s-inspired hair, super-long hair and now, ultra-short hair. At one point, she even had to switch up the lyrics in “Little Red Wagon,” singing “short blond hair” instead of “long blond hair” when she chopped it of. Though she’s never gone for a pixie cut (unlike Kellie Pickler), and she’s stuck to her blond roots throughout the years, Lambert’s hairstyle changes have still been fun to watch.
