Pray For Vegas

Last night (10/2), the city of NASHVILLE came together with the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) and NASHVILLE CONVENTION & VISITORS CORP to hold a vigil in honor of the victims of SUNDAY’s (10/1) mass shooting at the ROUTE 91 HARVEST FESTIVAL in LAS VEGAS (NET NEWS 10/2). Hundreds gathered inside NASHVILLE’s ASCEND AMPHITHEATER to hear speakers that included NASHVILLE Mayor MEGAN BARRY, CMT-TV’s “NASHVILLE” star CHARLES ESTEN, GRAND OLE OPRY SVP/GM and CMA Board Chairman SALLY WILLIAMS and to hear performances from VINCE GILL, KEITH URBAN, ALISON KRAUSS, and others.

Attendees were also encouraged to contribute to THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE (CFMT)’s MUSIC CITY CARES FUND, which will donate 100 percent of its funds to help immediate and long-term needs of victims of the shooting. Learn more about the FUND here.
