Luke Bryan’s Son Tate Is a Young Sharp-Shooter

Luke Bryan taught his 7-year-old son Tate how to shoot skeet, and within a second or two the kid was ready to pluck real ducks out of the sky.

Tatum Christopher Bryan is the younger of Bryan and wife Caroline’s two sons, and recently they spent some bonding time in a field that’s presumably near their house. The little boy learns how to load his rifle and then he yells “Pull!” and shoots the clay pigeon out of the sky on his first try.

More Great Luke Moments

“Tater tot is on it,” Bryan writes in an Instagram post on Thursday morning (Feb. 8). The “Most People Are Good” singer is an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He and his family live on a large Nashville-area farm on which Caroline keeps a small menagerie including kangaroos, goats and a pig.

For the most part Bryan is enjoying a break from music as he prepares to judge American Idol beginning next month. He’ll also be touring heavily this summer but he will not be hosting the ACM Awards once again. Last week Dierks Bentley announced that he and Bryan weren’t asked to return, although Bryan’s departure likely has to do with his participation with American Idol, which will air on the same night.
