A soft guitar and sweet melodies make for a good-natured song that proves timely in today’s world, with Bryan explaining in the second verse that, “If you just go by the nightly news / Your faith in all mankind would be the first thing you lose.”

“Most People Are Good” was written by David Frasier, Ed Hill and Josh Kear and will be featured on Bryan’s upcoming album What Makes You Country. In addition to the title track and lead single “Light It Up,” the project also features a song titled “Pick It Up” that Bryan wrote for his sons.

“My favorite part of making a new album is getting to collaborate with the songwriting community in this town. It is important to me to continue to push myself to grow on all levels and I feel like we did that on this project,” the singer says. “Making and performing music never gets old and I can honestly say I am having the time of my life. I will be forever grateful to every fan who sings along each night.”

What Makes You Country is set for release on Dec. 8.
