There’s a new Classic Country station in NEBRASKA CITY, NE, as FLOOD COMMUNICATIONS flipped News/Talk KNCY-A and its FM translator K288GS/105.5 on MONDAY (10/9), branding the combo as “OTOE COUNTY COUNTRY.” FLOOD already operates mainstream Country sister KBIE (B103.1).
According to NEWS CHANNEL NEBRASKA’s website, KNCY’s Dir./Operations, HUNTER ARTERBURN vows no music recorded after 1989 will air on KNCY. “In today’s music, it always seems like you hear, ‘this song isn’t Country,'” said ARTERBURN. “So, we decided to make the move to play the legends of the genre all the time.”
