Kenny Chesney Adds 21 Amphitheater Dates to 2018 Trip Around the Sun Tour

Kenny Chesney is returning to his roots with nearly two dozen amphitheater concerts slated for 2018. The singer more than doubled his previous Trip Around the Sun Tour itinerary.

Chesney and Old Dominion will play 21 amphitheaters nationwide, starting with a May 10 show in Virginia Beach, Va., and running through an August slot in Columbus, Md. As usual, his summer tour wraps with back-to-back shows in Foxboro, Mass. (Aug 24-25) at Gillette Stadium.

Country Tour Dates? We’ve Got ‘Em!

Prior to becoming a stadium headliner Chesney made his living selling out amphitheaters. He’ll warm up with two shows in Las Vegas in March and then open big playing Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on April 21. The singer has been rehearsing heavily for the new tour this month, even skipping the Grammys to focus on his live show.

It’s not clear if new music will be a part of this tour. Earlier this month it was announced he had signed with Warner Music Nashville after spending his career at Sony. His last album was Cosmic Hallelujah, released in Oct. 2016.
