The McClymonts have been the big winners at the 2018 Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth.

- Male Artist of the Year: Shane Nicholson
- Female Artist of the Year: Aleyce Simmonds
- Group or Duo of the Year: The McClymonts
- Vocal Collaboration of the Year: Travis Collins and Amber Lawrence, Our Backyard
- Bush Ballad of the Year: Dean Perrett, Henbury Blues
- Heritage Song of the Year: Tom Curtain (featuring Luke O’Shea), Never Never Land
- Video Clip of the Year: Tom Curtain (featuring Luke O’Shea), Never Never Land
- Single of the Year: Travis Collins and Amber Lawrence, Our Backyard
The trio, made up of sisters Mollie, Brooke and Sam, took out three awards — including best group or duo of the year, contemporary album of the year and the coveted album of the year.
“We’re just completely blown away,” Brooke McClymont said.
“We’re just so excited, we just love our job.”
Mollie McClymont said she was proud of the band’s longevity as stalwarts of the Australian country music landscape.
“I think it is amazing that we are sisters and we’ve been in this 11 years together,” she said.
“I’m so proud of the girls and everything we’ve achieved.”
Collins and Lawrence win big
Also picking up three gongs were Travis Collins and Amber Lawrence in their first collaboration.
The friends took home Golden Guitars for vocal collaboration of the year, single of the year and song of the year.
“We really are truthfully each other’s longest friend in the business,” Lawrence said.
“She was at my 21st birthday dressed as Wonder Woman,” Travis Collins added.
“We’ve been mates for a long time and it’s genuine so this project comes from a really authentic place,” he said.
Chambers recognised for lasting music contribution
Kasey Chambers became the Australian country music industry’s newest inductee into the Roll of Renown.
It is one the industry’s highest honours and acknowledges those who make significant and lasting contributions.
“I’m really, really proud of what I’ve done in my career because I’ve always stayed authentically me,” she said.
“That is all I’ve ever really wanted to do is just be me and then to share that with a lot of people around Australia.”
She also picked up best alt country album of the year.
Shane Nicholson was named best male artist, while best female artist went to Aleyce Simmonds with her first Golden Guitar Award.
Lee Kernaghan has taken home his 37th Gold Guitar for top selling album of the year.
