Words of love and support are pouring in following the news of Daryle Singletary‘s sudden passing. Singletary was 46 when he died at his home in Lebanon, Tenn., on Monday morning (Feb. 12). While his cause of death is unknown, his impression on his peers is clear.

Singletary was a hard worker and friend to his fellow artists. He left a mark on newcomers Luke Combs and Walker McGuire, and veterans like Travis Tritt and Charlie Daniels. These artists and more took to social media to express their sadness over the death of such a respected colleague. Many shared how Singletary was such as an honorable representation of country music, also praising his voice.

Singletary is best known for his ’90s success with hits like “I Let Her Lie,” “Amen Kind of Love” and “Too Much Fun.” After catching the ear of Randy Travis while singing the demo of what would become Travis’ Top 30 single “An Old Pair of Shoes,” Singletary was signed to Giant Records and would go on to release seven studio albums, including his self-titled album and All Because of You.
